Systems Engineer
|
A System Engineer is required to join an expanding System Engineering team to work on complex electro-mechanical equipment developments. This equipment is used in high technology manufacturing plants and incorporates challenges in all disciplines; automation, high tolerance mechanics, dynamics, multiplatform software, complex FPGA and board design, analogue, digital and RF to 5GHz.
This role may suit a practicing Systems Engineer, or a development engineer with a range of skills and an appreciation of the full system design process
Involved from the concept stage until hand over to stable volume manufacture, the System Engineer is responsible for the technical co-ordination of the design process. This involves requirements capture, system specification, design partitioning, problem resolution and functional partitioning.
Suitable candidates will have more knowledge in one area, but should have a basic understanding of all areas Requirements capture and management System modeling using SysML , UML or other tools Decision matrices Python scripting
Appreciation of Hardware Design: Board design process and technology capabilities FPGA design process and technology capabilities Analogue, digital and RF ideal Software Design Version control Software Content Management Release management Application lifecycle management Mechanical Design Typical manufacturing processes Leadtimes Implications of design on dynamic performance
Owing to the international nature of the business, the System Engineer will be expected to travel to the USA and Asia for occasional customer visits.
