Test Development Product Engineer An opportunity to join a world class organisation which designs and manufactures enabling technology that provides OEM and disk drive manufacturers with data storage products to support high-performance storage and data communication networks The Product Engineer will be required to support product and test development throughout the complete product lifecycle The successful candidate will work within a small team of Product Engineers, liaising with both Project Management, Development Engineering and Test Development to ensure stable integration of complex storage solutions. There will be direct responsibility for new products introduction and manufacturing test strategies as well as providing support prototype and pilot test and debug operations. Applicants will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an electronic or computing related discipline. A broad knowledge of analogue and digital electronics is essential. Qualifications and experience must demonstrate competency in the following: All aspects of product test, including inspection techniques, ICT and functional test Experience of low/medium/high mix product volume manufacturing Functionality of complex PCBA’s Elements involved in the assembly of PCBA and the methods of process control Use of test equipment such as Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, Protocol Analyzers to root cause faults at PCBA and/or system level An exposure to computer programming, (scripting etc) Excellent interpersonal communication skills, (verbal and written) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team High degree of self motivation Ability to prioritise and coordinates activities whilst working under pressure Strong interest in new technologies Eye for detail and a quality focus.
