Design Engineer An opportunity to join a world class organisation which designs and manufactures enabling technology that provides OEM and disk drive manufacturers with data storage products to support high performance storage and data communication networks As an all round practical engineer with a broad set of skills, there is an opportunity for you to join a team of electronics engineers in a role which involves an ever changing variety of interesting challenges. The products incorporate sophisticated robotic and automation control applications, (motor controls, pneumatics), test systems applications, (thermal, vibration, data integrity), sensor systems, (vision, infra-red etc), firmware and user applications The role will be a mix of electronic design and software development, (typically in C/C++) and as such will suit an engineer who seeks a broad spectrum of work in both Electronics or Software Design. Due to the flexibility of the department they are able to consider applicants with either and Electronics or Software Bias. You will have a degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering, board level analogue and digital design skills, a strong practical engineering aptitude, be capable of working on projects with rapid development life cycles, C/C++ programming skills.
