Software Development Engineer A new opportunity for an experienced Software Development Engineer, (with C/C++ plus C# and/or .NET), to join a successful electronics company which designs, develops, manufactures and supports sophisticated automated test systems that are used in high volume electronics manufacture The role will involve full lifecycle development: from architecture, design and implementation (including unit testing) to deployment, system testing, debugging & support. It is essential that you have expert knowledge and significant experience of developing with C/C++ and C# and/or .NET You will ideally hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as computer science, software engineering, electronics. You will have knowledge of multiple Operating systems such as Windows and Linux. You will have strong formal & informal communication skills including documenting software designs and presenting technical subjects at an appropriate level for the target audience An understanding of hardware / electronics would be useful as would knowledge of embedded software and firmware. Basic use of oscilloscopes and electronic test equipment would support your application There is the likelihood of travel to the USA or South East Asia The company is located close to Portsmouth, Hampshire in a modern facility, with convenient access and ample parking.
