Design Engineer A driven, enthusiastic and dedicated Design Engineer is required for a leading company based in North Kent. You will be an adaptable candidate who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that design projects reach completion. The company is paying up to £30,000 plus excellent benefits including bonus and pension. Working in cross functional project teams you will be responsible for delivering successful 3D designs and ensuring they meet the client’s specification. You will be able to make recommendations for design improvements and be able to communicate this clearly too manufacturing and sales teams. The company is looking for an adaptable Design Engineer so previous experience in the companies’ field of design is not essential. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, are able to communicate at all levels, are able to adapt your working practices to suit new environments and are wiling to adopt new ideas in regards to Engineering. The main criteria for application are a background in Mechanical Design and the right flexible approach. If you have experience or interest in Polymer, Metallurgy, Material Science it could be an advantage. The Company uses Solidworks CAD package but experience in any 2D/3D CAD package will be considered. You will hold a HNC/HND/Degree within an Engineering field and have previous design experience. The company is based near Gravesend, Kent and is commutable from Dartford, Rochester, Sidcup, Orpington, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Faversham, Ashford and locations in Essex.
